Bezel Making and Stone Setting

Fabulous Pendant - with Sibling Rivalry (Rick and Laura)
Friday March 10 - 9:00 to 3:00 (break for lunch)

Take your jewelry to the next level! You will design a sterling silver pendent, make a bezel that custom fits a cabochon which is soldered onto the pendent and then set the stone to create a one of a kind necklace.  You will impress yourself with your new skill! Prior soldering experience is necessary.  All materials and supplies provided.

BIBLE journaling and faith journaling

Thursday March 23 - 6:30 to 8:00pm with Aloe Blooms
Looking for a new and fun way to explore God's word using art? This class is a perfect opportunity to gather with others whether you are newly into bible journaling or you aree an experienced journaler. Throughout the class there will be creative tips and ideas for using art as an expression of worship.  -  Cost $35
Supplies needed:  A Bible for journaling (with wide margins) or or a blank journal will be needed and any personal supplies are welcome. Each guest will receive a bag of goodies with registration. - There will be additional and optional supplies available for use and purchase.
Teachers:  Brittney is a wife, mom of two boys, Jacob (3) and Liam (2). She is a teacher and soon to be counselor. Brittany loves crafting, art, running, drinking coffee, and creating art and journaling in her Bible. She is saved by grace and lives for Christ.  Kayla is enjoying newlywed life with her husband and two dogs. On the weekends they can be found renovating a fixer upper home or playing at the dog park. Kayla is a Special Education teacher for Jr. High school kids. The joy of the Lord is her strength each and every day.  Ashley is a wife and brand new mom to Davis! She graduated from Oklahoma State University, Ashley teaches 4 year olds. She loves hand lettering, Bible Journaling, and anything DIY. Don't miss this class that Sold-Out in January.  Learn to Tackle the Torch. If you’ve ever wanted to work with metal but are intimidated by the torch, this is the class for you.  In this beginning solder class you will learn to cut, file, texture, patina and solder while designing and creating a unique pendant using sterling silver and copper.  All materials and use of tools is supplied. Just bring is your imagination.

succulent garden for your home

Thursday March 30 - 6:30 to 8:00pm with Aloe Blooms
Join us for a night of fun as we walk you step by step through the process of creating your own personal succulent terrarium. The class will provide all of the necessary supplies and will leave you with a project that is uniquely put together by you! No experience is required as we will help guide you through each step and provide all the care instructions for your plants.   -  Cost $35

New Class... Fun and Colorful - with Sharon Giles

A workshop based on the fabulous style used by Australian Aboriginal artists! The methods are simple but the results are spectacular. Using basic shapes, dots, lines and much repetition, create beautiful and unique art.  - Creatures Feb 22, Flowers April 6
Materials needed - Small canvas (16x20 or smaller) or 1/4 sheet of gessoed watercolor paper, acrylic paint, assorted brushes.  Optional -  Puff paints or liquid pearls.  Instructor will bring other supplies.

Artistic Glass Fusing

with a 2 hour lunch break to allow the kiln and glass to cool - Half-Price Books is close)
Fabulous class for framed glass or 3 jewelry pendants. Come experience kiln fired glass. In this class you will create 3 fused glass tiles that come together as one fabulous framed art piece. We will explore with different glass elements such as glass powders, frits, and stringers. These tiles will be fired at the class.  We will have a break to allow the glass to cool and return to finish.  Each project will be framed and ready to hang.
Class fee: $65 and will include all supplies

The Art of Suminagashi

Join this repeat of a popular class. Produce beautiful marbled Suminagashi papers using the ancient Japanese technique of inks floating on water.
Supplies included in the class - Instructor will provide inks, paper, brushes and water containers.

Glass On Glass Floral Mosaics

Learn the art of Mosaics in this unique class using the technique of glass on glass to create a beautiful work of art.  In this class you will learn to design a one of a kind floral design panel. When completed it will look like a small Stained glass window.  Project sizes vary (approximately 8 x 10) and are created using traditional stained glass on clear glass in a frame. This class will teach you glass nipping, cutting and grouting.  Class fee includes generous supplies.Come have a day filled with fun and explore your creativity.
Cost:  $65 generous glass supplies are included to create a fabulous original piece

monday night PAINTING - ALL MEDIA

Painting, All Media ​with Barbara McFarland
Monday Nights  -  6:30pm to 8:30pm 

​Barbara teaches watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media at Sparks Studio Art. Her Monday night venue is an on-going painting class every week.  All painting and drawing mediums are welcome.  Work on your own individual projects in the material of your choice.  BEGINNERS are welcome.  Each student receives personal instruction.   
COST: $22
Barbara McFarland  - Magnum Cum Laude UNT grad, B.F.A in painting and drawing from U.N.T. in Denton. She works in watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media. Her work has received numerous awards in local, regional, and national shows. She has spent two summers painting on location at the La Romita School of Art in Italy.
